Publication Ethics

Key Tech Services peer-reviewed journal writers, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere strictly to the publication ethics outlined below to prevent and deter any form of malpractice.

Authors: Only original works should be submitted by authors for potential publication in the KT Journal of Mechanical Engineering. The article or any of its parts should neither be published in a KT Journal of Mechanical Engineering nor be considered for publication in any other journal. The abstract should include a quick synopsis of the paper’s content. An accurate description of the task completed should be emphasized, as should the reasons behind it and the importance of the results. The article should include the relevant citations for any available material that was used in the paper. It is necessary to reference and cite the literature and periodicals that impacted the work. Irrelevant references to lengthen the list should be avoided, nevertheless. Only those who have made a substantial contribution to the concepts, problem formulation, execution, solution, and interpretation will be listed as authors; those who have assisted with the discussion and draft manuscript preparation will also be recognized. Any funding organization that assisted in the study should be properly credited. Before submitting an article, authors should ensure that the final product is not a redundant effort that is simply the result of multiple published papers. They should also refrain from tampering with data and photographs. All the co-authors should review the final draft of the work, and only when they all agree and there are no conflicts of interest, should it be submitted. All submission-related ethical standards shall fall under the purview of the corresponding author. Additionally, if an author finds a major problem or errors in the work, they should notify the publisher and editors as soon as possible. This could lead to the publication of a “Corrigendum” or perhaps the manuscript being retracted or withdrawn. Anything that goes against the above will be considered unethical behaviour, which is unacceptable.
